I heard from my colleagues at work that there is a new Japanese restaurant, Jiro Izakaya Sushi Ramen and it is receiving positive comments. My colleague's friend who is a cook also commends it.

I have been trying to go there for two times without success due to scheduling. First was I was too early, 9:00 AM, unknowing when the store opens. Second, I only passed by to check the menu. And finally by the third attempt, my family and I were able to dine there. It is evident that the resto is being a talk of the town since I saw a number of customers dining.
My colleagues at work have not yet tried dining here so we found time to try there. We arrived at the restaurant by 9:45 PM and they said they are already closed. I asked for details such as last order and informed them that their facebook page states that they close at 11:00 PM. The manager/owner (I believe) with a little conversation with the staff, let us in.
The next time I visited, the staff told me that they now close at 11:00 PM.
The Food
While looking at the menu, the waiter served us a small appetizer.
Other than sushi and ramen, they also serve rice meals.
I let my sister order a ramen for me and she chose Jiro Beef Ramen. Seeing the chili sauce at the side, I seemed to think of Laksa noodle but the Ramen still has the Ramen taste. We assumed that the staff were new since my sister asked for what was the soup base of the ramen, whether it is miso, shoyu, tonkotsu or shio, the waiter seemed to unable to answer.
My kid who eats little seemed to be fond of the Salmon Teriyakidon and Chicken Teriyaki.
At my second visit with my colleagues, I suggested to try Miso as the soup base for ramen as my sister's favorite. Good thing about their ramen is that you can ask to divide the ramen to two bowls. My colleagues ordered Jiro Beef Ramen for sharing also.
With my colleagues, we all liked best are the Volcano Maki (best seller) and Salmon Sashimi. We liked the Maki so much we tried to order another set. However, it is unavailable, probably because they have already extended their operation hours for us.
We also tried fried and steamed Gyoza.
